  • PERSONNEL POLICY
  • SMAU staff hold their own seminar to discuss programme strategies, evaluate their performance and make proposals to the Board of Directors.

    Both the Organisation and its employees work towards the realisation of the objectives of Single Mothers’ Association.

    SMAU Management Team is the implementation body. It is headed by the Program Manager as the overall supervisor who is appointed by, appraised by and answerable to the Board of Directors.

  • STAFF TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT POLICY

    SMAU pursues a policy of GOOD EMPLOYER by providing to staff the following:

      1. A clear statement of duties, responsibilities, and accountability thereby creating room for them to be innovative and participate in decision making;
      2. Resources and authority to match the responsibilities of officers;
      3. Fair rates of pay in line with economic realities in the country
      4. A safe and healthy working environment;
      5. Freedom from discrimination of any kind;
      6. Clear and timely information.
  • FINANCIAL POLICY AND REGULATION

    The financial policies spell out financial regulations and procedures to be followed in the disbursement of funds of the Organisation. They outline the system of Financial Administration to operate at all levels. It is the responsibility of the Board, Accountant, the Treasurer, and Program Manager to ensure the observance of all financial procedures and regulations.

    In order to secure effective management of the organisation’s financial administration, the Organisation requires:

    • Financial Planning
    • Control of Budget Variations
    • Performance Reporting
    • Financial Appraisals
    • Co-ordination of Financial Administration
